SWIIS Foster Care Scotland is a not-for-profit Independent Fostering Agency committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for looked after children.

SWIIS Foster Care Scotland was established in 2005 as the sister company to SWIIS Foster Care UK.

SWIIS Foster Care Scotland fully embraces the idea of being a learning organisation and believes that this demonstrates an intrinsic support for our carers and staff.We employ workers across disciplines to provide an holistic wraparound service to our foster carers.This support allows our highly trained foster carers to provide the best possible care and optimises the chance for therapeutic re-parenting.

At SWIIS Foster Care Scotland we understand and live by the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child and the Curriculum for Excellence. We pride ourselves on our stick-ability in providing placements where children can feel safe, be healthy, active and nurtured, can achieve, be responsible, feel respected and included. We place strong emphasis on support to ensure that our children and young people realise the aspirations as Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens, Successful Learners and Effective Contributors.

We seek out every opportunity to consult with our partners in both central and local government, to identify and respond creatively and flexibly to the needs of looked after children .

Our pricing structure is subject to ongoing consultation with a number of local authorities. Though these are all important partnerships, our goal is to maintain the all important link between ‘best practice’ and ‘best value’.
