SWIIS Foster Care (Scotland) was established in 2004 as a Not For Profit (Limited by Guarantee) Company.
Its sister company SWIIS Foster Care was established some four years earlier in 2000. It now has registered offices across England including Newcastle Manchester, Birmingham, Darlington, Leeds and Ealing.
SWIIS Foster Care (Scotland) has its headquarters in Dunfermline which also houses its Fife and East Scotland Team. The West of Scotland Office is in Glasgow and the Dundee Office, Dundee Aberdeen and North East Scotland..
SWIIS Foster Care is committed to a very close working relationship with our Local Authority Partners. We have a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting our foster carers and children. This is an integrated model resourced by a team of qualified and experienced social workers, education staff, health advisors and therapists.
We pride ourselves in stick-ability with our foster children and promoting the best possible outcomes. We are committed to evidence based practice and evaluating our work and have recently been involved with Strathclyde University in assessing the effectiveness of our practice in promoting the educational attainment and achievement of our children.
We are willing to discuss the placement needs of any child and accept referrals on both a planned and emergency basis.
