Placement Process

To make a placement with SWIIS Foster Care Scotland please contact the duty worker at your local office (see below for numbers).

Wherever possible planning meetings and introductions will be held prior to the start of placement to ensure that all matching considerations have been taken into account and that everyone is clear about the placement plan.

In short notice situations, placement planning meetings may be combined with the placement agreement meeting which must take place within no more than 7 days of the young person being placed.

The matching process for permanent placements is obviously very careful and therfore a longer process. To find out more please contact Marion Geddes on 01383 842284.
